Isaac... that's a name that many weather enthusiasts associate with the devastating hurricane that struck Galveston, Texas in 1900. Isaac was not the name of the storm, but the name of a meteorologist that worked for the weather bureau on Galveston Island. Today a tropical storm named Isaac formed from Tropical Depression #9 in the Atlantic. This storm will be nothing like that 1900 storm known as "Isaac's Storm." Tropical Storm Isaac should stay away from land as it moves toward the cooler waters of the northern Atlantic this weekend.
