I'll start with the area #2 in the above graphic from the National Hurricane Center. A front that moved through the southeast the last couple of days has stalled off the coast of Georgia. This time of year a stalled front off the coast can be the focus for tropical development. That may be the case over the next day or two. We'll watch this one closely.The area circled with a 1 is a weak tropical wave crossing the Atlantic. The chances for this system to develop into a tropical depression look limited at this time.
And last but certainly not least, Hurricane Felix continues to gain strength in the Caribbean today.
By the middle of the week, Felix could impact Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico before emerging into the Gulf of Mexico.
