When it comes to the drought, there has been no change over the last week despite receiving some heavy thunderstorms over the weekend.

Moderate drought conditions continue in the eastern part of the state with a severe drought from the western side of the
Triangle through the Triad. Parts of western North Carolina are in an extreme to exceptional drought.
